True Narration is a community-driven initiative to preserve the accurate transmission of Hadith by identifying and documenting errors in how Hadith are presented across the internet, social media, printed materials, and educational platforms. This includes typographical mistakes, misquotes, incorrect attributions, fabricated narrations, and especially mistranslations that alter the meaning of the original Hadith. The project does not aim to grade Hadith or issue scholarly rulings, but rather to serve as a public reference for identifying common misrepresentations.
Each entry in the project records the problematic version of the Hadith, describes the specific issue, compares it to verified sources when available, and notes the platform where it appeared. We also log whether a correction has been requested and the current status.
This is not an effort to shame individuals or organizations, but a shared responsibility to protect the accurate transmission of the words and teachings of the Prophet ﷺ. If you find an entry concerning content you published, we kindly invite you to revise the material. We will gladly update or remove the entry once the correction is made.
To ensure this work can continue beyond our own efforts, each entry includes contact or reference information so others may follow up or build on the work if needed.
